Thank you for signing up for Bellydance classes at the North Texas School of World Dance! It should be a fun adventure whether you're just wanting some unique exercise, looking for a new hobby or even wanting to be a performer!
Here is some important information you'll need to know below:
-There are no refunds, exchanges, transfers or make-up classes
offered.
-You will receive a confirmation email regarding your spot in class. If the class is already full that you signed up for, then you will be asked to sign up for a different time slot. If the other time slot(s) don't work for your schedule, then you may receive a refund minus the Paypal charges.
-Please call 214.387.0738 for the address (home studio).
-You'll want to show up about 5-10 minutes early so you can fill out a
registration form on your first visit.
-Wear comfortable workout-type clothing that you can move freely in, but not too baggy so I may see your movements.
-Shoes are not needed, but you may want to wear some type of dance shoe if you need extra support or don't like to go barefoot.
-You have just signed up for 6 classes. Try not to miss any so you'll get the most out of your experience. If you do have to miss 1 or 2, it's not a big deal, but you will feel more confident and able to keep up better if you can attend regularly.
-Have a positive attitude about learning something new - don't be too hard on yourself! Bellydance uses muscle groups that many of us don't normally use in everyday life, so there will be an adjustment period to feel comfortable with the new movements.
-Don't compare yourself to others in class. Just have fun and enjoy the
learning journey!
-You don't have to perform if you don't want to, but I do offer periodic
performance opportunities for those interested, including student through
professional-level dance troupes.
-I have four friendly cats (my house is clean - just an issue if you're allergic or scared).
