This workshop is for future and current restaurant dancers. If you are looking for information on how to break into restaurant dancing, or simply want some inspiration to spice up your current restaurant performances, then this is the workshop for you! In the last twelve years, Sa'diyya has performed over 2,000 restaurant shows. She is a wealth of information and she's ready to share her knowledge with you! Students will learn about the standard five-part bellydance routine, as well as variations of it. Students will also learn about catering to specific ethnic audiences. Sa'diyya will challenge students with how to handle typical restaurant scenarios as well as how to handle uncomfortable situations that may arise. Sa'diyya will also share information about the business side of restaurant dancing, which is extremely important. This workshop will be mostly lecture, but some dancing exercises will be taught, so bring comfortable clothing and a notebook.
