She is perhaps most well known for her Caribbean Fusion style which pulls on her Caribbean heritage (Her family is originally from Jamaica) which fuses Caribbean music and movement with elements of belly dance movement and musicality. This presence has also allowed her to connect with many people and has presented multiple opportunities to perform and teach throughout the US since 2011. Her experience has motivated her to share the love of dance, music, and culture with others and inspire them to want to have fun while, working hard and learning. Lynx - 2017 Valley of The Queens Champion

Lynx is a belly dance performer and instructor in the DFW area. As a long time member of the Raksettes and now their instructor, Lynx joined the Wings of Isis in 2015. She is known for her gracefulness on stage as well as her choreography creations. Lynx began dancing in ballet, tap and jazz as a child, and she became a member of her high school’s drill team as a teenager. As an adult, she focused more on fitness, including aerobics, yoga and strength training, but after a lifting injury, she began looking for a new activity. Her mother-in-law recommended she try belly dancing with the Isis Star Dance Studio. Although Lynx was extremely shy in the beginning, the encouragement from studio director Isis Bartlett and friends gave her the courage to dance publicly and ultimately progress to performing on the professional level. She has been belly dancing now for more than eight years and can be seen dancing at a number of restaurants, as well as local festivals, parties and other events. As a choreographer and dancer, she has won and placed in multiple competitions. Highlights include 2017 Live Music Improvisational Belly Dance Champion, Ahlam Al Raks, Valley of the Queens Belly Dance Competition and 2015 Yellow Rose of Texas Troupe Belly Dance Star People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice Winner, Yaa Halla, Y’all.
